Salary: 28,000 to 32,800 per annum

The Company:

An established engineering business in the Leicestershire area are seeking a Junior Mechanical Engineer to join their team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assembling and maintaining mechanical systems. As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of machinery and equipment.

Responsibilities:

• Assemble and maintain mechanical systems and components.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints.
• Inspect and test machinery to ensure proper functioning.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform repairs as needed.
• Collaborate with engineers and other team members to ensure efficient production processes.
• Adhere to health and safety guidelines and regulations.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in Mechanical Engineering or similar role.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent attention to detail and precision.
• Physical strength and dexterity to handle tools and equipment.

Day-to-day:

• Assembling and installing mechanical components and systems
• Reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints
• Performing routine maintenance and inspections
• Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues
• Collaborating with engineers and team members to ensure smooth operations
• Adhering to health and safety guidelines and regulations
