I am currently recruiting for a Financial Controller for a dynamic manufacturing business in Blackburn. Reporting into the Finance Director this is a great role which will give you exposure to managing all areas of Finance (transactional finance, FP&A, process improvement and the management of financial systems and controls). Key focuses will include:

  • Develop and lead a Finance team of 10
  • Ensure timely completion of month-end and year-end activities
  • Liaise with auditors, ensuring smooth and efficient audit processes
  • Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning
  • Monitor cash flow and working capital
  • Drive improvements in KPI reporting to enhance operational and financial efficiency
  • Oversee the maintenance and analysis of standard costing
  • Provide insights to improve cost control and operational efficiency
  • Provide detailed financial analysis to support strategic decision-making
  • Take responsibility for the accuracy and integrity of the balance sheet and trial balance

Suitable candidates must have manufacturing experience, have previously held a Financial Controller role and have strong leadership skills.
