Management Accountant

Management Accountant - £35-42k - Blackburn (Office Based)

Reporting directly to the Finance Manager, you will collaborate with experienced and knowledgeable senior finance partners and accountants. This is the perfect opportunity for a part-qualified accountant looking to elevate their finance career.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations, ensuring all balances are correct and differences investigated.

• Produce and post key journals, including accruals, prepayments, accrued and deferred income.

• Support the commercial finance team with information and performance analysis for decision-making at the local level.

• Develop robust processes and controls to manage risks in line with Group requirements.

• Assist in producing accurate monthly and quarterly flash results for Financial Planning and Commercial teams.

• Support the year-end statutory audit process.

• Undertake ad hoc projects as required by the Finance Director or Financial Controller.

• Manage the Fixed Asset Register, ensuring timely postings on asset acquisition/disposal.

• Work with Transaction Services (AP/AR/Banking) to ensure a smooth month-end process.

• Support variance and trend analysis by site and GL line item.

Candidate Requirements:

• Qualified accountant ACCA/CIMA/ACA or a part-qualified accountant with relevant experience.

• Great attention to detail.

• Excellent organisational and communication skills.

• Experienced in Microsoft Excel.

• Ability to adapt and respond to changing priorities.
