Our client is seeking a Management Accountant to join their dynamic team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a part-qualified accountant or someone with a strong academic background in finance to further their career.

What you'll do:

As a Management Accountant, your primary responsibility will be preparing and presenting monthly management accounts. You will also prepare balance sheet reconciliations in line with group accounting policies. Your role will involve communicating complex financial data to non-financial managers, liaising with key budget holders and the commercial team to gain a comprehensive understanding of expected costs and new deals. You will adopt a proactive approach to your role, constantly seeking ways to add value to the business. Additionally, you will liaise with external auditors as needed and undertake ad hoc analysis and investigative work.

  • Prepare and present management accounts
  • Prepare monthly balance Sheet reconciliations in accordance with agreed Group accounting policies
  • Communicate and interpret financial data to non-financial managers
  • Liaise with key budget holders to understand expected costs
  • Work with the commercial team to understand new deals
  • Adopt a proactive approach to add value to the business
  • Liaise with external auditors, providing any information required
  • Perform ad hoc analysis and investigative work

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for this Management Accountant position is either a part-qualified accountant with current technical knowledge or someone with a strong academic background in finance. You should have a good understanding of management accounts and balance sheets, backed by 2-3 years' experience in a management accounting function. Strong accounting acumen, excellent analytical skills, and experience with Access Dimensions are essential for success in this role. You should be able to work under pressure, meet tight deadlines, and be adaptable and flexible. A continuous improvement mentality is crucial, along with the ability to challenge existing processes.
