Our client is currently looking for an experienced Management Accountant who can join their team where you will lead a small finance function and be responsible for producing the full management accounts pack at month end.
Based in Blackburn the business has a well-established brand and has a national reach with its customer base. Over the last couple of years, the business has grown with a strong and knowledgeable leadership team at the helm, who you will report into and provide an accurate financial reporting pack. The role might involve the improvement of controls and processes over time to make it your own but initially it is well structured so that you can concentrate on settling in and growing your profile internally.
Duties as Management Accountant will include: -

Fully responsible for the month reporting of the management accounts ready for review.

Monitoring of several different projects, managing expenditure and costs with on-going WIP.

Reporting of various KPI's across the business including overhead spend, customer analysis and spend and revenue analysis.

Supervision of finance team and day to day reporting on both sales and purchase ledger, across all the sites.

Monitor intercompany reconciliations and re-charges.

Manage the daily cashflow forecasting and cash balances.

Accruals/Prepayments.

Manage all the leasing contracts and associated compliance paperwork.

Reconciliation of the nominal ledger balances at month end.
The successful candidate will be experienced in management accountants' production and ideally have some experience of staff management to lead a team and manage all monthly timetables. You will be joining a well-established business and be part of a great 'work family' where you will be offered good holiday entitlement, standard pension and some flexibility if required.
