A leading international retail business based in Blackburn, this business has over 2000 employees with an outreach across Europe They now have an opportunity for a part qualified Management Accountant to join on a permanent basis.
Description
This role will report directly into the divisional Finance Manager but will also work closely with other site directors, and will cover the following areas:
- Producing monthly management packs, including P&L, balance sheet, cash flow forecasting
- Assisting with year end audits and statutory accounts preparation
- Posting accruals and prepayments
- Preparing annual budgets and forecasts, including variance analysis with commentaries
- Stock valuation and usage calculations
- Supporting with development of robust controls and processes
- Control of the nominal ledger and balance sheet account reconciliations
- Cost and cash control
- Cash flow management and reporting
- Maintenance of the fixed asset register
- VAT returns
Profile
This is a great opportunity for a candidate that prefers a hands on and results-focused role. We are also looking for:
- Strong management accounts experience
- Part qualified CIMA/ACCA
- Excellent attention to detail
- Excellent Excel skills
- IT literate with strong systems knowledge, ERP preferred such as Oracle, SAP
- Strong communication skills
- Methodical and high attention to detail
- Desire to learn and develop
