Management Accountant| Ā£35,000 - Ā£42,000 + Study Support | Blackburn + Hybrid | Fast-growing business| Great team and working culture Axon Moore are delighted to be partnering with a multi-award winning business based in Blackburn who are looking to add a Part Qualified Management Accountant to their team. Reporting directly into the Finance Manager, this role will provide exposure and the opportunity to gain experience in a fast paced and exciting company. You will be involved in the preparation of monthly management accounts alongside getting exposure to departmental and wider business projects.This role involves ensuring the quality delivery of month end and year end accounts preparation, supporting a strong control environment and enabling clean audit reports. The successful candidate will be a part-qualified, ACCA/CIMA accountant.Key Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Prepare and present management accounts
  • Prepare monthly balance sheet reconciliations in accordance with agreed Group accounting policies
  • Communicating and interpreting financial data to non-financial managers
  • Liaise with key budget holders to have a better understanding of expected costs
  • Liaise with the commercial team to understand new deals
  • Adopt a proactive approach to the role to add value to the business
  • Liaise with external auditors, providing any information required
  • Ad hoc analysis and investigative work
Required Skills and Experience:
  • Part Qualified or QBE Accountant with current technical knowledge or strong academic background
  • Good understanding of management accounts and balance sheets
  • 2 to 3 years' experience in a management accounting function
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Experience of Access Dimensions would be advantageous
  • Able to work under pressure
  • Working as a team, assisting other team members where necessary
  • Adaptable and flexible
  • A strong continuous improvement mentality with the ability to challenge existing processes
