You'll be a graduate with one to two years' practice experience, or AAT qualified with two years' experience. We're looking for a standout candidate who can demonstrate a varied accounting skillset, good commercial awareness, and an enthusiasm to progress.

Job Purpose

• Support a varied client portfolio with a wide range of accounting and audit work.
• Complete accounts files and disclosure checklists.
• Preparation of tax computations with minimal senior input.
• Confidently use CCH software to amend accounts formats and adjust disclosures.
• Assist with R&D tax work, including constitutions and tax relief.
• Support with payroll processing.
• Undertake Benefits in Kind calculations.
• Understand accounting regulations including FRS102.
• Work with senior colleagues to ensure statutory deadlines are being monitored and met.
• Champion your own professional development and enthusiastically take on training opportunities.
• Report directly to Managers and Partners, confidently overseeing a small client portfolio.
• Attend on-site client meetings, confidently contributing and proactively handling queries.
• Providing work to junior team members and reviewing once completed.
• Contribute to the accountancy firm’s growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.

The Successful Applicant

• Graduate with at one to two years practice experience.
• Or AAT qualified with two years experience.
• Adept at setting up Sage, Xero, and Dext packages for clients.
• Self-motivated and reliable who is eager to progress
• Good communication skills, both verbal and written
• A strong work ethic, time management and organisational skills
• Enthusiasm to learn from an experienced team
