Your new companyJoin an established finance team within a large, growing business in Blackburn as a Senior Management Accountant. As a business, they pride themselves on offering excellent progression opportunities to their employees, and you'll be surrounded finance leaders you can learn from as you build your career in finance.Your new roleAs a Senior Management Accountant, you will be an integral part of the Management Accounting team, ensuring key financial close activities and day-to-day operations are completed accurately and on time. Your role will involve partnering with the business within a specified area of responsibility, providing specialist advice, producing quality and accurate monthly management accounts, and identifying opportunities for improvement. You will support the design and delivery of new accounting approaches, and offer mentorship to junior accountants in the team as they complete their studies.What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you will need to be a fully-qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA). A knowledge of IFRS is preferable, along with strong technical accounting skills. You should have proven experience in management accounting and financial reporting, with the ability to produce accurate and timely management accounts, or you could be coming as a first-time mover from Practice. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential, as you will need to collaborate effectively with various stakeholders. You should be proficient in using accounting software and have strong analytical skills to interpret complex financial data. The ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously, while maintaining attention to detail, is crucial. Strong problem-solving skills and commercial acumen are also important for this role.
