Invoicing Assistant (Accounts Receivable)

Blackburn, Lancashire

£25,000 - £28,000 DOE

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Invoice Administrator to work amongst the Invoicing Team, in a fast-growing company, supporting the business in raising invoices and carrying out related tasks in accordance with the team's requirements.

As an Invoicing Assistant you will be responsible for...

  • Support the accounts function in the processing of invoices
  • Work closely with operational and finance teams
  • Updating of client information through telephone & email communication
  • Answering the telephone, dealing with queries as appropriate
  • Assisting the credit control team to efficiently resolve outstanding queries
  • Assisting with reports for management, as and when required
  • Liaising with the accounting team at head office
  • To undertake any administrative tasks/projects as required to aid the function of the team

As an Invoicing Assistant you will need...

  • Knowledge of accounting functions
  • Experience with financial systems - SAP would be an advantage
  • Able to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • High attention to detail, excellent at multitasking and highly organised
  • Flexible, enthusiastic and can do attitude
  • Previous experience within a finance team is essential
  • Excellent communication skills both verbally and written
  • A minimum of 4 GCSE grades at C (grade 4) or above including Maths & English
  • Computer literate with strong excel skills, including a familiarity with formulas and pivot tables
