Your new roleAs a Legal Cashier (Accounts Assistant), you will be responsible for a variety of financial tasks including daily banking functions, preparing online electronic bank transfers, and performing bank reconciliations for both client and business accounts. You will also handle client ledger reconciliations, administration of petty cash, and processing of client and office accounting transactions. Ensuring compliance with SRA rules and managing month-end SRA compliance folders are key aspects of this role. Additionally, you will address internal and external accounts queries, ensuring smooth financial operations. This is a full-time role, working Monday to Friday. What you'll need to succeedTo be successful in this role, you should have previous experience as a Legal Cashier, or have experience of working as an Accounts Assistant and possess excellent numeracy skills. Attention to detail and the ability to prioritise tasks effectively to meet deadlines are crucial. Proficiency in IT systems, particularly Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), is essential. You should be able to work well as part of a team, providing cover where necessary.
