Job Title: Building Maintenance Operative
Location: Covering all Pets Choice Blackburn sites on Lower Philips Road

About the Role:
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will work alongside the Engineering team and Operational teams covering all Pets Choice Blackburn sites on Lower Philips Road.
Key Responsibilities:
- General building and grounds maintenance across Pets Choice Blackburn sites from odd jobs to larger projects
- Working closely with the Engineering Department and liaising with other departments such as the Warehouse and Head Office
- Undertake Maintenance tasks as directed and prioritise urgent tasks
- Maintaining Building fabric
- Ensure standards and procedures are adhered to and work closely with Health & Safety
- Maintain workshop and tools to Good Manufacturing Practices requirements
- Assist engineering maintenance team members as required
- Assist in the improvement of Health & Safety standards across all sites
- Record all works on the CMMS system
- Work collaboratively and engage with other members of the wider Pets Choice team
- Support the delivery of continuous improvement action plans
- Support with developing the maintenance schedule alongside the Engineering Manager
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for all
- Heay lifting as required
- Indoor and outdoor work
- Occasional travel and use of company vehicles
About you:
- Demonstrate the ability to work with a varying selection of tools
- Ability to work independently and with a team when required
- Painting, joinery, plumbing and other building maintenance skills
- A good communicator at all levels
- Ability to balance multiple priorities
- A problem solver with an eye for detail and accuracy
- A dynamic self-starter with a positive, enthusiastic, can-do attitude
- Must be fluent in English, verbal and written
- Building qualification would be desirable
