About the Role:

We are currently working with a reputable company looking to appoint a Service Controller within their Field Service and Workshop division.

This role is essential for ensuring their service operations run smoothly across the UK. The position involves overseeing the coordination and management of field service activities, ensuring maximum efficiency and maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills & Qualifications:

  • Experience in a similar role
  • Competence with basic software packages, particularly Microsoft Office
  • Strong organisational and administrative abilities
  • Excellent telephone manner and communication skills
  • At least 5 years of experience in the service industry
  • A proven track record of delivering excellent customer service

Key Responsibilities:

Efficient Deployment of Engineers: Managing the scheduling and deployment of Field Service Engineers, ensuring resources are utilised effectively.

Customer Liaison: Acting as the primary point of contact for customers, keeping them informed of job progress and ensuring any issues are promptly addressed.

Communication with Stakeholders: Maintaining strong communication with engineers, subcontractors, and other departments to ensure jobs are completed on time and within budget, ensuring parts are organised in advance whenever possible.

Administrative Tasks: Logging call details, monitoring job progress, and preparing completed jobs for invoicing, ensuring all necessary documentation is in order.

Job Diary Management: Keeping an up-to-date log of outstanding jobs, ensuring follow-ups are handled appropriately.

Workshop Administration Support: Providing administrative support to Workshop Engineers, managing job records and ensuring all details are accurate.
