Analytical Development Chemist/ Technical Project Leader

My client is a highly specialised independent analytical service provider servicing a wide range of multinational/SME companies across all sectors within the UK and globally. The current position has arisen for an experienced Analytical Development Chemist/Technical Project Leader to support the service and development of varied client projects.

You will be an experienced analytical chemist with analytical, process chemistry, formulation and materials experience.

The role of Analytical Development Chemist/Technical Project Leader will be involved in

- Leading on client projects to create and develop analytical methods of analysis using modern techniques such as HPLC, IC, GC and GCMS as well as classical wet chemistry - Titrations.

- Appropriate validation strategies, fitting within the client industry standards.

- Experienced at handling and preparing a wide variety of sample matrices including organic chemistry derivatisation for analysis.

- Able to perform Wet chemistry analysis, titrations/pipetting and accurate chemical quantitative preparation (molarity).

- Design and implement experimental strategies and process chemistry evidence and conclusions.

- FTIR analysis, sample preparation, analysis and interpretation

- Hands on for instrument troubleshooting

- Excellent report writing skills

- Strong communication skills with internal and external clients

The ideal candidate will be qualified to degree or higher (PhD) as an experienced analytical chemist and have a number of years working in industry solving analytical problems, developing robust analytical methods from within pharmaceutical, fine chemicals or industry working to ISO17025 accreditation.
