Area to be covered: East of the Country

Based; commutable to North West office

Basic Salary: £38,000-£45,000 + £10,000-£20,000 uncapped bonus

Benefits: Fully expensed Hybrid Car + benefits packageThe role of the Area Sales Manager - Outdoor Canopies will involve:

• Field sales role selling the design and installation of a manufactured range of outdoor canopies (measuring up, pricing and following up on client visits)
• Two thirds of your time targeting schools / education (School Business Managers, Head Teacher, Bursar, School Manager, Site Manager etc),
• Remainder of your time targeting contract catering, factory & warehousing, healthcare, offices, sporting venues etc.
• Working closely with contractors that look after school academies, , architects, NHS trusts, local authorities etc.
• First year revenue target of £800,000, 2nd year target of £1m
• Huge volume of support including marketing, website enquiries, e-marketing campaigns etc .
• £1m+ pipeline of projects to inherit
• 6-12 appointments per week
• 50% on the road, 50% either working form North West based office or WFH
• Full product training will be provided
• Predominately new business development, although 90% of the visits will be following up on warm leads / enquiries into the office
• Order values £10,000-£50,000, average for a school £17,500

The ideal applicant will be an Area Sales Manager - Outdoor Canopies experience with:

• Proven track record in field sales within the education sector
• New business hunter, ability to "ask for an order"
• Construction projects background would be ideal
• Open on product background but preferably sold something associated to outdoor canopies such as: playground equipment, street furniture, steel / timber systems, roofing, glazed systems, shelters etc.
• May also consider products associated to the education sector such as classroom equipment, whiteboards, laptops etc
• Previous experience dealing with local authorities, architects or contractors is not required
• Preferably end user sales experience
• Prepared to put in the hours
• Mouldable with an aptitude to learn
• Ability to measure up and follow up on warm enquiries
• High level of drive, energy, enthusiasm and self motivation
