Technology Improvement Leader

Location: Lancashire (On-site with potential for 1 day/week remote)Salary: £100,000 - £140,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Benefits

Our client is seeking an experienced Technology Improvement Leader to drive IT service transformation and continuous improvement initiatives within a Critical National Infrastructure (CNI) environment. This role is ideal for a strategic IT leader with a strong background in service management, operational excellence, and ITIL frameworks.

The Role

The Technology Improvement Leader will:

  • Lead the transformation of IT service delivery, ensuring efficiency and reliability.
  • Implement ITIL-aligned service improvement methodologies.
  • Develop and execute root cause analysis protocols to enhance system resilience.
  • Establish business-aligned service levels and embed them within operational processes.
  • Work closely with internal teams and external partners to drive service management excellence.
  • Communicate complex IT challenges to senior stakeholders and ensure strategic alignment.

Candidate Profile

  • 10+ years' experience in IT leadership, specialising in service management and delivery.
  • Deep expertise in ITIL frameworks, including service strategy, design, transition, operations, and continual improvement.
  • Strong knowledge of business impact analysis and root cause analysis methodologies.
  • Proven ability to transform IT service functions, improving system availability and performance.
  • Experience in Critical National Infrastructure sectors, such as energy, utilities, transport, telecommunications, emergency services, or government organisations.
