We are looking for an experienced Senior Site Manager to lead operations on a new residential development in Blackburn. This role is with a well-established national house builder known for high-quality standards and innovative design, offering the right candidate an opportunity to drive success on a flagship site.

The Senior Site Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of on-site construction, ensuring that project timelines, quality expectations, and safety standards are met. This role is ideal for an individual with a background in residential construction who excels in managing large, multi-phase developments and has a passion for delivering outstanding results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee all site activities, ensuring compliance with project plans, schedules, and safety regulations.
  • Manage and coordinate site staff, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring quality control at every stage of the build.
  • Ensure project milestones are met, identifying and resolving issues proactively to keep the project on track.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and meetings, ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
  • Collaborate closely with the Project Manager and senior management to communicate project progress, address concerns, and implement improvements.
  • Provide leadership and support to the site team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Manage budgets, track costs, and report financial progress to ensure alignment with project objectives.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate records, including daily logs, health and safety reports, and site documentation.
Requirements
  • Extensive experience as a Site Manager in residential construction, preferably with a large-scale house builder.
  • Proven track record of delivering multi-phase residential projects on time and to a high standard.
  • SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) and CSCS certification.
  • NVQ Level 6/7 in Construction Management, or an equivalent construction qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations in construction.
  • Effective leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate site teams and contractors.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency with project management software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
