EC&I Project Manager

Location: North West EnglandSalary: £60k - £70k (dependent upon qualifications and experience)

Overview:A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced EC&I Project Manager to join a global leader in acrylic-based product manufacturing. You will take charge of delivering a £10m+ project, focusing on electrical distribution systems and control systems improvements. This role is based at a key manufacturing site in North West England.

The Role:As the EC&I Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing projects from concept through to commissioning. You will be ensuring project success by maintaining high standards of SHEQ, and working closely with both internal teams and external suppliers.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leading the delivery of £10m+ EC&I projects from concept to commissioning, including feasibility studies and design reviews.
  • Identifying and resolving issues with electrical distribution and control systems.
  • Gaining a thorough understanding of site infrastructure (boilers, cooling towers, air compressors, etc.).
  • Ensuring clear communication between internal colleagues and external suppliers.
  • Supporting the Manufacturing Team to deliver business improvement plans in line with company priorities.

Key Skills/Experience:

  • Specialist skills in Electrical, Control Systems, and Instrumentation (EC&I).
  • Proven experience managing projects in Process or FMCG industries.
  • Experience working with electrical distribution systems (6.6kV and below).
  • Knowledge of Hazardous Areas (Vapour and Dust).
  • Relevant qualification such as Degree/HNC/HND (desirable).
  • Project management qualifications (Prince2, APM, or Six Sigma) are advantageous.
  • Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work independently.
