Eden Brown are currently recruiting a Health and Safety Compliance Manager on behalf of a leading Further Education College in Lancashire.

This is an on going, full time temporary role of 37 hours per week.

As a Health and Safety Compliance Manager you will be responsible for championing and driving forward Health, Safety and statutory estates compliance within the College, to meet changing legislative requirements and to ensure a safe and sustainable environment for staff and students.

You must have substantial experience of working in a Health, Safety and compliance role within a medium to large organisation. You will be able to work at a strategic as well as operational level and must have up to date knowledge and skills in Health & Safety legislation, training, new developments, risk assessment and control. You must also be a strong written and verbal communicator and keen investigator.

The Main Duties are as follows:
* To be professionally responsible for leading Health & Safety and statutory estates compliance across the College provision.
* To manage the Health & Safety department and manage the College first aid provision and fire marshal teams.
* To operate within annual Health, Safety and Environment department budgets and assist in preparing the Health, Safety and Environment business plan and other financial budgets/reports.
* To liaise with the greater Estates Team in respect of all matters of estates compliance both statutory and best practice.
* To lead and deliver the Health & Safety agenda. To provide an effective and efficient service to all College users and to positively influence Health & Safety and statutory compliance across the whole College provision and estate.
* To formulate, implement and monitor the corporate health, safety and environmental strategy and to promote and contribute to a safe and sustainable working environment within all areas of the College.
* To advise the corporation on all matters relating to Health & Safety and statutory estates compliance.

* Qualification in occupational health and safety such as NEBOSH Certificate or equivalent
* Strong teamwork skills and the proven ability to lead and manage change to working practices
* Experience in a similar role.
