An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Credit Controller to join our client's Transaction Shared Service centre. This role is integral in transforming the finance department as the business continues to grow. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing customer accounts, maximising cash collection, minimising risk and exceeding KPI's. What you'll do:

As a Credit Controller, your role will be pivotal in transforming the way our client's finance department operates. You will manage your own portfolio of accounts, ensuring that all debts are collected in accordance with company policy. Your proactive approach will help meet collection targets and minimise risk. You will also be responsible for resolving customer queries and driving continuous improvement within the department. This role offers an excellent opportunity to utilise your skills and knowledge to improve efficiency within a growing business.

  • Manage your own portfolio of accounts, ensuring outstanding debts are collected in line with company policy
  • Maintain a proactive approach to collecting outstanding debt to meet collection targets
  • Keep accurate records on chasing and payment promises
  • Resolve customer queries including timely escalation of issues
  • Drive continuous improvement in the number of days debts remaining overdue
  • Manage and monitor new customer accounts set up, including the setting and controlling of credit limits
  • Assist with the workload of other team members from time-to-time
  • Maintain strong relationships with customers and internal colleagues

What you bring:

The ideal candidate for the Credit Controller position will bring a wealth of experience in Credit Control or Accounts Receivable. You will have strong working knowledge of MS Office products, particularly Excel, coupled with good analytical and problem-solving skills. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to adapt your style according to your customer base. With good negotiation skills, you are target-oriented and possess excellent time management and organisational abilities. Your ability to work well both independently and as part of a team will be key to your success in this role.
