The Role
The purpose and focus of this role is to provide practical and emotional support to students to safeguard and promote their welfare. You will work closely with and be led by the Safeguarding Lead and Head of Student Experience, to provide timely and effective interventions to students that require safeguarding.
This role will support students to engage with external agencies where there are believed to be safeguarding and protection concerns and contribute towards effective information sharing, in line with the Local Safeguarding Children Board (LSCB) and Local Safeguarding Adult Board (LSAB) procedures to meet statutory safeguarding responsibilities.
What are we looking for?
You should have a relevant level 3 professional qualification in either Education, Health, Social Care or Youth Work and experience of working in a support role with children, young people and families, meeting a range of individual needs. You should also have experience of providing safeguarding and protection interventions and assessments and have worked in an education environment. Experience of multi-agency working and delivering training to groups of people is also essential
