What You Will Do:
- Support Management: Assist the Registered Care Manager with the daily management and coordination of the branch to ensure efficient, profitable operations and the highest standard of domiciliary care.
- Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, generate reports, and investigate complaints from service users and employees.
- Recruitment and Staffing: Actively recruit and support new care staff, guiding them through the recruitment process and managing weekly staffing rotas.
- Business Development: Seek new business opportunities and contribute to the branch's commercial growth.
- Operational Compliance: Stay abreast of operational issues and methods, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations and operational policies.
- Emergency Duties: Undertake out-of-office duties as needed, including providing hands-on care, on-call support, attending social events, and offering emergency assistance to care staff.
- Liaison and Coordination: Effectively communicate with other departments, employees, key stakeholders such as commissioners and customers, and the public.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience in Care Management: Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory role within the domiciliary care sector is essential.
- Qualifications: NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care required; Level 5 in Health and Social Care is desirable or in progress.
- Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead, delegate, and mentor staff effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication abilities and a compassionate, empathetic nature.
- Organisational Skills: Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage staffing rotas and multiple responsibilities.
- Flexibility: Willingness to work flexibly, including extended hours when necessary, and provide hands-on care during staff shortages.
- Driving License: A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required.
- Work-Related Car Insurance: Must hold or be willing to obtain work-related car insurance.
