Electronics Engineer
£70,000 OTE
Hybrid - 2-3 days on-site in Lancashire per week
This is an exciting chance to join a market-leading engineering company specialising in the design and manufacture of rugged communication equipment for challenging and safety-critical environments. As an Electronics Engineer, you’ll work on a variety of electronics design and development projects, collaborating with a talented team of experts to deliver solutions that prioritise reliability and performance.
You’ll be involved in the full lifecycle of product development, from designing prototypes to creating final assembly test equipment. This role offers a blend of creativity and technical challenge, perfect for someone with a knack for solving complex engineering problems.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing, assembling, testing, and updating electronic systems, components, and software.
- Developing and implementing final assembly test equipment.
- Collaborating with engineers, professionals, and clients to meet project specifications.
- Observing processes and recommending improvements for usability and reliability.
- Ensuring products meet health and safety regulations and adhere to industry standards.
- Supporting technical leads with engineering tasks, including mechanical, manufacturing, and acoustics projects.
Key skills and experience needed:
- Microprocessor-based product design experience and peripheral integration knowledge.
- Proficiency in PCB design (experience with EasyPC is a bonus).
- Solid programming knowledge in C (additional experience with Python, Linux, or communication protocols like I2C, SPI, SIP, etc., is desirable).
- Familiarity with GSM and VoIP telecommunications.
- Knowledge of low-noise audio amplifiers or active noise reduction systems.
- Experience with Li-ION/Li-Polymer battery packs for ruggedised and low-power environments.
