Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment and have a knack for precision? We're looking for a talented Engineering Assistant to join our team in Blackburn and play a vital role in keeping our production line running smoothly.
In this role, you'll:
- Utilize your tape measure and metalworking skills (power hack saws, guillotines, grinders) to meticulously cut steel sheets to exact specifications.
- Be an integral part of the team, ensuring a steady flow of parts and metalwork to our busy production crew.
- Maintain a strong work ethic with excellent punctuality and reliability.
We'd love it if you have:
- Experience using metalworking tools like power hack saws, guillotines, and grinders.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to quality.
- The ability to work independently while also collaborating effectively within a team.
- A valid FLT (forklift truck) license and/or experience operating overhead cranes (a plus, but not mandatory).
We offer:
- A competitive salary of 12.00 - 12.50 per hour.
- A temporary position with the potential to become permanent after 3 months.
- Flexible hours: Mon-Thurs (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM) and Fri (8:00 AM - 3:00 PM).
