Finance Analyst

Salary: £28,700pa

Location: Blackburn

We are looking for a Financial Analyst to join one of Simpson Judge's clients to work on a 5 year project over in Blackburn.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake project reporting for bids, both financial and against targets.
  • Provide support to Financial and Management Accountant on other project claims for the company
  • Undertake tasks allocated by the Head of Finance within the Finance Function to support the team.
  • Keep up to date with legislation relating to the finance function that may affect the reporting of financial information and taxation.
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with the policies and procedures of the company and that accurate and appropriate recording of income and expenditure occurs.
  • Respond to any queries and requests for other staff members and external bodies in a customer focused manner.
  • Assist at company events which may require occasional evening and weekend working.
  • Support the finance team as required and especially in relation to IT issues and development of the accounting software.

Requirements

  • ACCA part qualified OR AAT Level 4
  • Proven ability in accountancy (minimum 2-3 years)
  • Proficiency in accounting software
  • Knowledge of Xledger accounting systems (preferred)
  • Must be immediately available
