As Finance Analyst you will be responsible for diving into the key operational metrics of the business and partnering closely with cross-functional teams to drive value added results. My client is a growing Manufacturing business based in Blackburn. Established over 50 years ago they have gone through a change of ownership in the last couple of years and are now owned by a much large overseas parent company who are committed to continue investing in the business.
Description
- Work with the FP&A Manager to ensure business unit objectives are aligned to the business' strategic objectives.
- Work closely with Operations to provide decision support via ?nancial modelling, business case analysis and ?nancial / management reporting
- Work with Operations Manager/Accounting during month end close activities to ensure expenses are appropriately captured and provide ?nancial and analytical support to FP&A Manager
- Root cause analysis using data to uncover inefficiencies and recommend cost improvement ideas
- Lead the ?nancial planning and forecasting processes for the plant operations unit and annual capital planning for operating unit
- Provide in-depth analysis to FP&A Manager -Analysis on variances to plan and forecast, with a focus toward gap closure
Profile
- CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified or equivalent
- Proven ability to influence Operations to drive business success
- Strong financial background including experience with planning, forecasting, budgeting and financial analysis
- Experience in a manufacturing environment would be highly desirable
- SAP experience would be desirable
- Strong Excel skills
