Project Finance Analyst

Salary: Up to £47,000 (DOE) + Benefits (Study support, pension, bonus)

Sellick Partnership has been engaged to recruit a Project Finance Analyst for a multinational retail business based in Blackburn. With the business growing significantly year on year an exciting opportunity has opened up within the highest performing division in the group.

As the Project Finance Analyst you will be responsible for supporting a variety of ongoing finance transformation projects, including system implementations and continuous improvement projects. Within this role you will be reporting directly into the Divisional Financial Controller and will have the opportunity to partner with a variety of different stakeholders across the business.

Responsibilities of the Project Finance Analyst

  • Extracting and analysing large sets of data to assist with decision making
  • Building and developing reports using Power BI and Power Query
  • Tracking and reporting projects via project management tools
  • Partnering with a range of different stakeholders across the business
  • Assisting the Senior Finance Managers with Finance Modelling and Process Improvement Projects
  • Other ad-hoc tasks requested by the Financial Controller and Senior Finance Managers

Required skills and experience of the Project Finance Analyst

  • Part-Qualified/Finalist or Qualified by experience (preferably CIMA/ACCA/ACA)
  • The ability to partner and communicate effectively between finance and wider business to interpret and explain financial data and concepts
  • Experience of using reporting tools such as Power BI and Power Query
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel
