Our client is seeking a performance-driven Accounts Payable Team Leader to join their Transactional Shared Services department. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a high calibre leader to develop a team, ensuring consistent performance and achieving business objectives. The core objective of this role is to maintain a well-organised Accounts Payable function, ensuring adequate controls and quality checks are in place, and maintaining a high standard in order to comply with audit and governance requirements.

As an Accounts Payable Team Leader, your role will be pivotal in leading the Accounts Payable team towards achieving business objectives. You will ensure the timely and accurate processing of invoices, oversee reconciliation processes, and act as an escalation point for supplier payment related matters. Your leadership skills will be crucial in supporting your team members, fostering a culture of high performance, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. You will also play a key role in overseeing the integration of mergers and acquisitions onto SAP for the AP team.

  • Lead the Accounts Payable team, monitoring performance against key performance indicators
  • Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices/credits received
  • Oversee reconciliation of supplier statements to AP Ledger
  • Prepare payment runs and oversee the process to completion
  • Act as escalation contact regarding any supplier payment related matters
  • Support the AP Manager in identifying and implementing process improvements
  • Oversee integration of mergers and acquisitions onto SAP for the AP team
  • Develop professional networks across the business to understand developing requirements

The ideal candidate for this Accounts Payable Team Leader position brings demonstrable experience leading an end-to-end Accounts Payable process, preferably within a Shared Services environment. You have an eye for detail, coupled with a commitment to high quality and accuracy.
