Based in the Blackburn area you will play the lead role in ensuring the production and review of financial information for key manufacturing divisions, whilst leading improvement projects to implement effective systems, processes and reporting that will create financial awareness through the rest of the business. The Finance Director is keen to appoint someone who is pro-active and eager to utilise financial information to drive performance and support operational decision making. The role will be wide ranging, offering exposure to their manufacturing plants and distribution network, multiple IT systems and a fully integrated ERP system so there is plenty to get your teeth into!

What We're Looking For:

  • A strong Finance Business Partner with excellent data management & analytical skills
  • An outstanding, collaborative and engaging communicator
  • Pragmatic and hands on approach working directly with a variety of stakeholders
  • Strong ambition to help increase profitability and efficiency
  • Able to drive change and create plans to address variances to P&L
  • Experience of preparation and management of budgets
  • Financial planning, insight and analysis skills to support projects and investments
  • Credibility to influence operational and commercial stakeholders

What You Need:

  • 3 to 5 years of experience as a Finance Business Partner or a similar FP&A / Commercial role
  • A relevant accounting qualification, CIMA / ACCA or ACA
  • Ideally experience of working within a large complex manufacturing business
  • Experience of working in a fast paced and demanding environment
  • Self-Starting, pragmatic, down to earth & hands on mentality
  • An ability to identify gaps in KPI’s and implement corrective actions
