We are on the lookout for a highly skilled and motivated Finance Manager to join our team.

As a Finance Manager, you will take the lead in managing our financial operations, driving strategic insights, and empowering the company to achieve its financial objectives. As a key leader, you will oversee a talented finance team, ensuring the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and excellence in line with accounting regulations. This is your opportunity to excel in a role that combines strategic vision with practical leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate production of management accounts, including profit and loss statements and balance sheet.
  • Lead a team of fuel management accountants, prepare and review relevant month end work papers and responsible for their development planning.
  • Responsible for ensuring that the fuel site investigations are completed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure balance sheet reconciliations are prepared and reviewed monthly, and that all balances are complete, accurate and differences investigated.
  • Deep involvement in the year-end Audit process and managing queries.
  • Working on integration of any future acquisitions into Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Monitor the day-to-day financial operations within the company.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, operational colleagues and relevant stakeholders.
  • Analyse variances between actual and flash performance, providing explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.

Skills:

  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in financial software (e.g. Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP or similar) and MS Excel (advanced level).
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex financial information in an understandable manner.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Essential:

  • Bachelors degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.
  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, or CIMA.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • Experience in production of Fuel Management Accounts
  • At least 5 years of experience in Industry or Audit
