Your new companyJoin a manufacturing business in Blackburn experiencing an exciting period of growth and change, in a newly created Finance Manager role, working closely with the Head of Finance.

Your new roleAs a Finance Manager, you will oversee and manage the local financial operations, providing crucial financial transparency and working closely with and advising the Head of Finance and local management team. Your responsibilities will include reporting and planning processes, CIP valuation, and initiating gap-closing activities. You will support internal finance projects, monthly financial statement creation, and ensure tax compliance. Additionally, you will monitor and analyse daily accounting routines, provide transparency on site performance, and act proactively as a business partner to the site management.

What you'll need to succeedTo excel in this role, you will need a strong background in manufacturing finance management, either with a finance qualification (CIMA / ACCA) or be qualified by experience. You should be adept at financial reporting, planning processes, and tax compliance within a manufacturing environment. Experience with cost accounting, inventory management, and production cost analysis is essential. You must be an analytical thinker with a proactive and solution-oriented business mindset. Strong communication skills and the ability to build relationships with both financial and operational teams are crucial. Familiarity with group standards in accounting, systems, and processes, as well as the ability to support internal and external audits, will be key to your success. Additionally, you should be capable of managing daily accounting routines and providing actionable insights to improve site performance.
