I am currently recruiting for an international business based in Blackburn who are looking for a Head of Finance to head up their UK business. My client are looking for a strategic finance leader responsible for driving financial performance, ensuring disciplined budgeting and forecasting, and providing forward looking insights to support operational and executive decision-making. This role partners closely with operations, supply chain, and commercial teams. Key focuses will include:

  • Lead cross-functional budgeting processes, ensuring alignment of production, procurement, and commercial strategies with financial targets
  • Work with plant managers and supply chain to set and control budgets for production, maintenance, and logistics
  • Review actual vs. budget performance across departments and recommend corrective actions to management
  • Demand & Revenue Forecasting - collaborate with sales and operations to forecast volume and revenue
  • Build forward-looking models for variable and fixed costs to support pricing and sourcing decisions
  • Generate and maintain weekly and monthly rolling cash flow forecasts to support liquidity management and strategic investments
  • Scenario & Sensitivity Analysis - assess financial impact of various market conditions
  • Cost Performance Management - monitor and analyse manufacturing costs and advise on cost optimisation strategies
  • Track and interpret financial KPIs to improve plant productivity
  • Conduct product-level and customer-level margin analysis to guide pricing, product mix, and sales strategy
  • Evaluate return on investment for capital projects ensuring alignment with business goals
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the Leadership Team, and other department heads, providing data-driven insights and financial guidance
  • Support strategic projects such as cost transformation initiatives, or new market entries with robust financial modelling and business cases
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly business performance reports with analysis of trends, risks, and opportunities

Suitable candidates must have held a similar role where you've be responsible for driving financial performance, have strong budgeting/forecasting skills and have ideally worked in a manufacturing and/or product sector. Please apply now for immediate consideration.
