Senior Finance Manager | Blackburn (Office Based) | £58-68k + bonus

TalentEdge is supporting a well-established and ever-growing business in the Blackburn area.

Role Overview:

In this role, you will lead continuous improvement within the finance team, ensuring key financial close and day-to-day activities are completed robustly and promptly. You will act as the finance point of contact for operations teams and senior management teams. You will be expected to support all aspects of the management accounts and financial reporting processes.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Manage and oversee the execution of finance project implementations.
  • Review monthly accounts from trial balance to financial statements.
  • Manage, document and improve internal processes.
  • Coordinate and review the posting of journal entries.
  • Ensure timely preparation of balance sheet reconciliations for one entity/division.
  • Review monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
  • Manage the audit process and ensure timely responses to reviewers.
  • Prepare and review year-end statutory accounts (IFRS & local GAAP).
  • Develop and maintain robust processes and controls in line with group requirements.
  • Ensure consistent documentation of all tasks and activities according to internal policies.
  • Continuously review and improve finance systems, processes, and controls.
  • Handle other ad-hoc projects.

Knowledge/experience required: 

  • A number of years post-qualified experience.
  • Strong excel and technical skills
  • SAP experience
