Central Recruitment are working with a large Food Manufacturing company in Blackburn, recruiting Food Production operatives. This company is relocating so although the position is currently available in Blackburn, within the next 12 weeks you will be asked to work at their new site in Burnley. The working hours are days 8am-4:30pm Monday-Friday.
Day to day duties will include:
- Follow a packing plan, as part of a team, correctly pack each job to a specification.
- Capable of machine filling (lifting up to 12kg), packing bulk & small packets at a fast pace.
- Train as a Machine Operator, set up and run the electronic bagging machine for a variety of pack formats.
- Once fully trained, maximise packing efficiency by organizing the operators and products, changing priorities as required to maintain the packing flow.
- Complete all paperwork accurately, including weight & metal detection checks.
- Monitor the quality of the products, check labels, comply with Food Safety and Health & Safety procedures.
- It is essential to have good written & spoken English skills.

The role does involve heavy lifting up to 20kg on a daily basis
