My client a well established fulfillment company based in Blackburn is looking for an Inbound Checker to join their goods in team on a temp-perm basis. The hours are working rotating shifts 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work in line with agreed company work procedures
- Count physical stock received against quantity and description as advised on supplier delivery notes
- Ensuring the appropriate level of count is carried out
- High value and specific deliveries will require 100% contents checks
- Accurately follow the inbound process
- Repalletise stock as required in order for the pallets to be located in the warehouse racking
- Report any delivery count discrepancies through the correct channels
- Health and safety procedures must be observed at all times, to maintain a safe and legal working environment
- A good standard of housekeeping must be maintained within all work areas. Work areas must be kept clean and free from obstruction or waste at all times
- Undertake other duties as required in order to support the business in achieving excellence for all customers
Critical Skills
- Accurate, conscientious, who will be literate and numerate
- Experience of WMS and PC applications
- An MHE licence is advantageous
- Ability to follow instructions
- Understanding of basic health and safety
- Common sense approach with an aptitude for detail
