My client a well established fulfillment company based in Blackburn is looking for an Inbound Checker to join their goods in team on a temp-perm basis. The hours are working rotating shifts 6am-2pm / 2pm-10pm.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in line with agreed company work procedures
  • Count physical stock received against quantity and description as advised on supplier delivery notes
  • Ensuring the appropriate level of count is carried out
  • High value and specific deliveries will require 100% contents checks
  • Accurately follow the inbound process
  • Repalletise stock as required in order for the pallets to be located in the warehouse racking
  • Report any delivery count discrepancies through the correct channels
  • Health and safety procedures must be observed at all times, to maintain a safe and legal working environment
  • A good standard of housekeeping must be maintained within all work areas. Work areas must be kept clean and free from obstruction or waste at all times
  • Undertake other duties as required in order to support the business in achieving excellence for all customers

Critical Skills

  • Accurate, conscientious, who will be literate and numerate
  • Experience of WMS and PC applications
  • An MHE licence is advantageous
  • Ability to follow instructions
  • Understanding of basic health and safety
  • Common sense approach with an aptitude for detail
