Are you an organised, communicative individual with experience in parts management? We’re looking for a Parts Controller to support our client’s service team, ensuring the efficient supply and delivery of parts to engineers and workshops.

Role Overview:As a Parts Controller, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that the right parts are identified and ordered promptly, helping our client’s engineers, workshops, and service teams keep everything running smoothly. You’ll communicate with engineers, controllers, and workshops to keep everyone informed about delivery times and costs. You will also provide administrative support for the service team when needed.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify parts needed for engineers and workshops.
  • Order parts either directly from suppliers or from stock.
  • Ensure costs are controlled and communicated clearly.
  • Keep engineers and controllers updated on delivery times and any changes.
  • Follow up on back orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Provide administrative support for service jobs, including loading details into the system.
  • Assist with the electronic parts system when required.

Performance Measures:

  • Parts are delivered to engineers on time.
  • Reduced downtime for customers.
  • Positive feedback from engineers and managers.

Skills & Knowledge:

  • A background in parts knowledge is desirable
  • Strong communication skills.
  • PC literacy and basic IT skills.
  • Commercial awareness.
  • Negotiation skills.

Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar role or industry is preferred.
  • Proven ability to deliver high-quality service.
