My client a well known food production company based in Blackburn is currently expanding prior to a factory move to Burnley. Due to continuous growth we are now looking for additional candidates to work as Production Labourers. Due to the up coming move the training and starting location is Blackburn but within the next 6 months you will be expected to relocate/commute with the company to Burnley.

The working hours are Monday-Friday 6am-2pm with additional hours available during busy periods.

Responsibilities

  • Meet production deadlines and quality standards
  • Keep work areas clean and tidy at all times
  • Ensure all start up checks are completed prior to start of production
  • Accurately weigh out all ingredients needed for the production process
  • Follow production recipes and record raw material batch codes
  • Ensure the correct temperature is achieved for each batch
  • Maintain equipment to optimise production
  • Ensure size, shape, colour and flavour match batch codes and recipes
  • Adhere to strict Food Safety and Quality Policies at all times
  • Adhere to company Health and Safety policies
  • Always follow good hygiene practices
  • Carry out daily, weekly, monthly cleaning schedules
  • Complete all relevant paperwork, recording details correctly
  • Report any breakdowns immediately to the supervisor or the maintenance department

These responsibilities are subject to amendment and review and will be used to measure job performance.

Due to the manual duties listed the ideal candidate must be physically fit and able to continuously lift heavy loads on the production line.

Ideally due to the relocation of the business the right person would also drive and have their own transport.
