The Role
As a Lecturer in Access to Higher Education you will teach, support, mark and assess adult learners on a variety of Access to HE programmes including Access to healthcare professions, Access to social work professions and Access to education professions. The modules will include Professional Health care practice, psychology, social issues and sociology, educational theories, biology and a variety of study skills. Access to HE courses really do make a difference to the lives of adult learners and we are looking for lecturers who are passionate about their subjects and who are proactive in their teaching.
What we are looking for
You should possess a UK Honours degree or UK ENIC recognised degree and a recognised teaching qualification (or be currently working towards with a completion date of summer 2025).
You should have experience of teaching adults in a further education setting. You must have the ability to motivate and inspire students. Knowledge of Access to HE courses is desirable.
You need to be able to teach science modules including biomolecules and key biomolecule principles and cell biology. An understanding of the health and social care sector would be an advantage as the two main pathways are health care professions and social work professions
