Psychology graduate - Blackburn - October start

Prospero Teaching are looking for passionate and ambitious Psychology Graduates with a passion for supporting students with social, emotional and mental health issues at a specialist SEMH school in Blackburn. The students will be aged 11 - 19. Experience supporting children or young people with additioanl needs is desirable, but not essential.

Responsibilities:

Working with and providing support to children with SEN (Special Educational Needs)
Experience of supporting pupils with PMLD
The willingness to provide an environment in which pupils can reach their full potential
The ability to build rapports with the children, supporting their social and behavioural needs, and acting as a mentor

Role Requirements:

Psychology (BA Hons) degree
Enhanced DBS (clean and relevant) Can be obtained through Prospero Teaching
Safeguarding certificate, prevent awareness, FGM - essential
Behaviour management training - desirable
A committed and enthusiastic attitude to work
Excellent communication skills and the ability to form new relationships
A full driving licence with access to a vehicle

Desirable:

Previous experience working with young people
Good knowledge of SEMH needs
