About the role:
The Banking Specialist will be responsible for the daily reconciliation of all company bank accounts, maintaining banking relationships, and ensuring the smooth operation of cash management processes. You will support the reconciliation of payments and receipts and banking transactions, collaborating with both internal teams and external partners to ensure the highest standards of financial control are maintained.
Key responsibilities:
- Perform daily reconciliation of all company bank accounts, ensuring that all transactions are accurate and discrepancies are resolved in a timely manner
- Monitor the daily cash deposit processes, ensuring accuracy and prompt resolution of any issues that arise
- Support the businesss banking relationships as required, particularly with Barclays, to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
- Assist in the implementation of Microsoft Dynamics 365 ERP, focusing on automating and improving the efficiency of banking reconciliation processes
- Support the setup of banking processes for new sites
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulatory requirements regarding banking processes
- Support the Cash, Bank, and Revenue Reconciliation Manager in identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation within the banking area
- Assist in preparing banking reports and providing data analysis to support decision-making
- Handle ad-hoc banking queries and tasks as directed by management

Essential:
- Experience in banking reconciliation or a similar financial role, ideally within a retail or multi-site environment
- Strong understanding of cash and banking processes, with a keen attention to detail
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work closely with both internal and external stakeholders
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with financial systems
Good To Have:
- AAT level 3
- Microsoft D365 Experience
