"Urgent Requirement for IT Technicians for our Schools in Blackburn"

Due to high demand we are seeking skilled and motivated IT Technicians to join our dynamic team and support our schools with growing technology infrastructure in Blackburn.

As part of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of our school's IT systems and providing technical support to staff and students. Key Duties:

  • Provide day-to-day technical support for staff and students, resolving hardware and software issues.
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and repair PCs, laptops, interactive whiteboards, printers, and other IT equipment.
  • Support network infrastructure, including Wi-Fi, routers, and networked storage.
  • Install and configure software and hardware as required.
  • Assist in the management of the school's server and backup systems.
  • Monitor and manage the school's cybersecurity protocols, including antivirus software and firewalls.
  • Manage user accounts, permissions, and data backups.
  • Maintain the school's website and assist with the management of online learning platforms.
  • Help with the setup and maintenance of audio-visual equipment for events and classrooms.
  • Provide training and guidance to staff and students on IT-related matters.

Skills:

  • Proven experience in an IT support role, ideally within an educational environment.
  • A good understanding of network infrastructure, operating systems (Windows, Mac OS, and Linux), and mobile devices.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

Requirements:

  • An Enhanced Child DBS or willingness to undertake one (we can help with this).
