Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM
Salary: Circa £14.90 per hour
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Fitter/Engineer to join our team in Blackburn. This role involves carrying out maintenance, repairs, and installations of mechanical equipment to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on mechanical systems and equipment.
- Diagnose faults and carry out necessary fixes efficiently.
- Install, inspect, and test mechanical components.
- Work collaboratively with the wider engineering team to minimise downtime.
- Follow health and safety regulations and company procedures.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter, Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Technician or similar.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical maintenance and repair techniques.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
- Relevant qualifications (e.g., NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical Engineering, City & Guilds, or equivalent).
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
