This is a unique opportunity to join a company in a serious phase of growth and one that will allow you to make the role your own. It will be a part handling role which will develop into more of an executive role once you are settled in e.g. meeting clients face to face, attending trade shows etc. You will be inheriting a book of commercial clients including agricultural risks.

Our client is currently looking to employ an experienced Insurance Broker with experience in both commercial risks and ideally in farming risks.

You will ideally have over 2 years plus of experience within a commercial insurance brokerage working with a wide-variety of commercial insurance risks and ideally some exposure to agricultural risks. If you have only commercial insurance knowledge, then please do still apply.

About the Insurance Broker role: You`ll be responsible for the account handling of commercial lines customers with risks also involving client's in agriculture / farming.

You will be a point of referral to more junior members of the team and you will use your expertise and experience to help with queries and occasional training/mentoring.

You will look to identify opportunities to grow the book through offering relevant cross sales and referral leads.

Main duties in this role:

  • Responsible for growing a book of commercial / agricultural clients through new business / arranging policies for new clients
  • Be a point of referral within the team
  • Organise daily work to ensure compliance is met at all times
  • Liaise with Underwriters to help secure the retention (renewals) of clients.
  • Identify new markets, schemes and other opportunities to help grow the business

The skills you`ll bring to the role:

  • Thorough commercial insurance knowledge of at least 2 years in commercial insurance with some agriculture/farming risks exposure is ideal. Good commercial insurance knowledge only will be considered.
