Childcare Solicitor – Blackburn

Location: Blackburn

A Legal 500 firm in the North West is looking for a Children Panel Accredited Childcare Solicitor to join the team and handle a variety of child care work including conducting Court Advocacy. 

Responsibilities:

  • Managing a varied caseload of Childcare files, representing parents, grandparents, other family members and children directly or through CAFCASS
  • Conducting advocacy and working legal aid matters
  • Managing your own caseload of corporate and private clients
  • Achieving billing and time recording targets
  • Professional and proactive approach to work with a focus on client care, with the ability to deal with vulnerable clients and children in a sensitive manner to resolve complex Childcare matters
  • Support the firm with business development and marketing activities to generate new business

Skills and Experience:

  • Qualified solicitor with at least 1 years' PQE experience in Childcare and Children Panel Accredited by the Law Society
  • Solid track record of meeting and exceeding targets
  • Good relationship management skills
  • Strong attention to detail, organisation skills and the ability to prioritise workload to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
