- Managing a caseload of criminal defence work, providing representation at the Police Station and Magistrates’ Court.
- Participating in the out-of-hours rota for Police Station attendance.
- Actively building and maintaining local and regional networks to attract and secure new business.
- Conducting advocacy with the ability and willingness to handle hearings independently.
- Ensuring procedural and technical compliance while working efficiently to tight deadlines and financial targets.
- Maintaining strong client care standards and professional relationships with third parties.
- Existing client following with a proven ability to generate and build a caseload.
- Confident in running cases independently and working autonomously.
- Strong marketing and business development skills.
- Excellent advocacy skills, with a willingness to conduct own advocacy.
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
- Strong IT proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Professional, ethical, and committed to delivering high-quality legal services.
- Willingness to become Duty Accredited if not already qualified.
