Criminal SolicitorBlackburn/HybridSalary: CompetitiveA well-regarded firm is seeking an experienced Criminal Solicitor to manage a varied caseload of criminal matters, representing clients at the Police Station and Magistrates’ Court. This is an excellent opportunity for a proactive and driven individual looking to develop their career within a dynamic and supportive team.  The Role:
  • Managing a caseload of criminal defence work, providing representation at the Police Station and Magistrates’ Court.
  • Participating in the out-of-hours rota for Police Station attendance.
  • Actively building and maintaining local and regional networks to attract and secure new business.
  • Conducting advocacy with the ability and willingness to handle hearings independently.
  • Ensuring procedural and technical compliance while working efficiently to tight deadlines and financial targets.
  • Maintaining strong client care standards and professional relationships with third parties.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Existing client following with a proven ability to generate and build a caseload.
  • Confident in running cases independently and working autonomously.
  • Strong marketing and business development skills.
  • Excellent advocacy skills, with a willingness to conduct own advocacy.
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong IT proficiency, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Professional, ethical, and committed to delivering high-quality legal services.
  • Willingness to become Duty Accredited if not already qualified.
