The team provides high-quality legal advice and services in various private and legally aided disciplines, including Criminal Defence.

Responsibilities for this position will include: 

  • Develop and handle a caseload of crime work, including representation at the Police Station and Crown Court
  • Participate in the out-of-hours rota for Police Station attendance
  • Actively develop and maintain local and regional networks to attract and secure new business
  • Provide high-quality client care and maintain professionalism and integrity at all times
  • Build and maintain relationships with clients, professionals and third parties

What we are looking for:

  • Ability to run your own caseload autonomously
  • Competence in marketing and building a caseload
  • Strong advocacy skills with the ability and willingness to conduct own advocacy
  • Procedural and technical competence in criminal law
  • Ability to work to short deadlines, under pressure, and to financial targets
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • PC literate with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
