The team provides high-quality legal advice and services in various private and legally aided disciplines, including Criminal Defence.
Responsibilities for this position will include:Â
- Develop and handle a caseload of crime work, including representation at the Police Station and Crown Court
- Participate in the out-of-hours rota for Police Station attendance
- Actively develop and maintain local and regional networks to attract and secure new business
- Provide high-quality client care and maintain professionalism and integrity at all times
- Build and maintain relationships with clients, professionals and third parties
What we are looking for:
- Ability to run your own caseload autonomously
- Competence in marketing and building a caseload
- Strong advocacy skills with the ability and willingness to conduct own advocacy
- Procedural and technical competence in criminal law
- Ability to work to short deadlines, under pressure, and to financial targets
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail
- PC literate with proficiency in Word, Excel and Outlook
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
