Family ParalegalBlackburn / HybridSalary: Competitive, based on experienceA well-established and growing law firm is looking for a Family Paralegal to join its busy and supportive team. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a broad range of family law matters, working closely with experienced solicitors and developing your legal career in a collaborative and client-focused environment.The Role:
  • Assisting solicitors with a varied caseload of family law matters, including:
    • Divorce and separation
    • Financial settlements
    • Child arrangements
    • Domestic abuse cases
  • Drafting legal documents, court applications, and correspondence.
  • Liaising with clients, courts, barristers, and external agencies.
  • Managing Legal Aid applications and ensuring compliance with CCMS.
  • Attending client meetings, court hearings, and mediation sessions where required.
  • Providing general administrative and case management support to the team.
What We’re Looking For:
  • Previous experience working as a Family Paralegal or in a legal support role within family law.
  • A strong understanding of family law procedures, including Legal Aid processes.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to prioritise workload effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a professional and empathetic approach to client care.
  • Proficiency in IT and case management systems.
  • A proactive and team-oriented mindset, with a willingness to learn and develop within the role.
