This is a fantastic opportunity for you to progress your managerial career overseeing a team of operational staff in a busy metal distribution centre based in Blackburn.
Having some sort of experience in metal/steel environment would be ideal, and this could prove a great stepping stone for the future, giving you great exposure to running a depot.
This role will be overseeing the warehouse operations .
The ideal candidate will have warehouse supervisory experience and the ability to speak to customers on occasions when supporting the sales team. You will have overall responsibility for the site and will report directly in to the Managing Director.
Key responsibilities
- Overseeing production schedules
- Booking in stock
- Stock checks
- Transport planning
- Load planning
- Responsible for daily issues
Required Experience
- Health and Safety - Nebosh and Iosh would be desirable
- Manufacturing/engineering experience
- Managing/Supervising a small team
- Well organised
- Ability to take responsibility
