We are looking for a Maintance Engineer to deliver a maintenance function in support of the manufacturing and assembly operations. Proactive & reactive maintenance of all plant & equipment, facilities & site, ensuring all health & safety requirements are met.
PRINCIPLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist with the planning of preventative and reactive maintenance
- Managing customer expectations through work/activity planning
- Daily task management of general maintenance through the completion of the maintenance management system
- Help develop and maintain a plan of Planned maintenance for all key assets and perform planned maintenance activities to schedule
- Adherence to a planned maintenance schedule
- Operational availability of Machines & equipment
- Attend to and carry out repairs to machines & equipment in a reactive breakdown situation
- Identify and implement improvements to plant, equipment and facilities, in support of site improvements planning and cost reduction targets
- Plan and record preventative activities using the maintenance management system
- Work with Health & Safety department to ensure all equipment conforms to HSE guidance and does not cause hazards to the workforce
- Attendance of EHS meetings
- Work with sub-contractors in supporting the maintenance function
- Control of all tools, equipment and spares in support of the maintenance function
- 6S Housekeeping standards
- Maintenance of security systems
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
Demonstratable knowledge of machine maintenance ideally within an engineering environment
Previous experience of working in a fast-paced engineering / manufacturing organisation
Mechanical or Electrical Apprenticeship (or equivalent) background
Ability to influence and work efficiently with customers and colleagues of all levels
Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication skills
